Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst (NAWCADLKE) intends to procure diesel and electric powered hydraulic power supplies and hydraulic fluid purifiers. It is anticipated that the contract will be a multi-year IDIQ contract where during the first year, the contractor shall be required to provide up to 5 pilot-production units of each type for both contractor and government testing. After successful completion of the pilot-production testing, the government shall issue delivery orders for the production units over the next 4 years. The approximate anticipated amounts over the 4 years are for 740 each of the diesel unit, 350 each of the electric unit, and 250 each of the purifiers. The objective is to procure NDI/commercial or modified commercial items that will replace the existing units currently in use. This procurement shall enhance the Fleet?s operational performance by meeting current requirements, reducing life cycle costs, and improving reliability & maintainability. The contractor shall manufacture and test all units in accordance with the requirements of the performance specifications, the Logistics Statement of Work, and this SOW. The Hydraulic units shall provide system, sub-system, or component fault isolation, trouble shooting, functional testing, or aircraft maintenance to ship and land-based application. The add-on purifier unit shall provide purification to remove contaminants (particulates, air, water, and solvents) from the aircraft system. Small Business Set-Aside. The solicitation will be posted on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil. Select ?Doing Business? and then ?Open Solicitations." Look for amendments on the web page. Hard copy of solicitations and amendments will NOT be mailed to contractors. The solicitation will be posted on the web on or about 25 August 2003. The Government will NOT accept electronic offers.
