Description

The Presidio Trust, a Federal government corporation, plans to solicit sealed bids from qualified contractors to re-roof and replace existing skylights on Buildings 4, 5, 6, 7 and 16, Funston Avenue, located at the Presidio of San Francisco, California. The Presidio is a National Park and a National Historic Landmark District. Scope of Work may include but is not limited to: (a) removal of existing roofs and installation of new roofs (both shingle and asphalt); (b) replacement of existing skylights; and (c) modification and re-flashing of rear gables (for all buildings except for Bldg. 4). All buildings are historic in nature. Work shall be performed in accordance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, regulations and standards including the Uniform Building Code, NFPA 13, and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Estimated start date is approximately late-September 2003. Period of performance is sixty (60) calendar days from date of notice to proceed. Davis Bacon Act (U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage rates) applies. The Trust anticipates awarding one firm fixed price contract. Government estimate will not be disclosed at any time. Estimated Project Cost: between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. Minimum qualifications include valid California Contractor?s License, demonstrated experience re-roofing historic buildings including references, Certificate of Insurance, and Bonding Capacity. The Presidio Trust is a wholly owned federal government corporation and is not subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
