- Description
- Notice of intent to award a sole source extension of 3 months to the incumbent contractor, Quality elevator Co. The services are for the repair and maintenance of elevators in DOS (Department of State) facilities in the Washington DC area. DOS has a need for the contractor to provide uninterrupted services that are vital to DOS, and ensure accomplishment of mandated elevator safety requirements. The authority is FAR 6.302. This is a bridge extension is necessary to allow the Government time to process a Top Secret Security clearance for another contractor whom DOS has selected for award under competitive solicitation S-LMAQM-02-R-0043. However final award is being withheld by DOS pending the successful obtaining the required security clearance. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals.
