Description

THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONTRACTORS. This contract consists of providing all labor, material and supplies for mechanical reduction of fuels within Hot Springs National Park at specific areas listed on the Scope of Work. Work will consist of the removal of hazardous fuel accumulations in designated buffer areas that will reduce wildland fire risk to adjacent communities. Thin heavy forest stands according to resource management guidelines along Park boundaries and forest/open area interfaces to reduce fire intensities and increase fire control capabilities. Trees or wood materials that are listed to be removed from these fuel removal buffer zones become the property of the Contractor and must be removed from Government lands. The NAICS code for this project is 115310. Contract duration is 90 days following notice to proceed. In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the price range for this contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. Site is open to the public and is accessible for purposes of bid preparation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted on electronic commerce on or about August 13, 2003 at the following website: http://ideasec.nbc.gov. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification.
