Description

Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a contract modification for the Block IV Tomahawk CCLS. The Contractor shall perform modifications as defined in CMP PUB 4710/10D section 3.3. In addition, the Contractor shall perform the following on service-life-limited items controlled by CMP PUB 4710/8G2: regrain of the (1) JCM-14220-001, replacement of the (4) JCM-14175-001 separation nut initiators, and replacement of the (1) JCM-14237-001 EBW initiator. NAVAIR intends to award this effort to Raytheon Systems Company (RSC), P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ 85734-1337. Raytheon is the only company capable of performing this effort. Since 1994, RSC has been the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer for the Tomahawk All-Up-Round (AUR). RSC solely possesses the current configuration and manufacturing data for the Tactical Tomahawk missile. RSC currently manages the key requirements, interface, integration, and verification documents for the Tomahawk Weapons System. Because a detailed knowledge and expertise of the Tactical Tomahawk missile is required to perform these modifications to the CCLS, RSC is the only source capable of accomplishing these requirements in the required timeframe and without duplication of costs.
