- NA The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, tools, supervision, and transportation necessary to design, furnish, install, train, and test the HFC-227EA total flooding fire suppression system in the Pentagon, room 5B910. The period of performance shall be 90 days from date of award. Contractor must be able to begin the on-site work prior to 1 October 2003. The objective of this task is to establish an operational fire detection, warning and suppression system within room 5B910 (Army Tech Control) of the Pentagon using a method that is non-destructive to telecommunications equipment installed within the facility. The HFC-227ea shall be designed and installed in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standard 2001 clean agent extinguishing Systems, NFPA standard 72 alarm signaling systems), and the local authority having jurisdiction. A site visit will be conducted on 28 August 2003 at 10:00AM at the metro entrance of the Pentagon. The names of the personnel atten ding the site visit must contact Mr. Timothy J. Perkins by 12:00PM on 27 August 2003 with the names of each person who will attend the site visit. A maximum of 2 individuals per company will be permitted to attend the site visit due to security reasons. A ll contractors are encouraged to attend and inspect the work site to satisfy themselves as to all general and local conditions that may affect the cost prior to submitting a quote. No clearances are required but individuals attending the site visit must b e US citizens. The vendor must provide picture ID or driver??????s license to gain access into the Pentagon. The government intends to award a contract to the offer conforming to the RFQ and who represents the best value, price and other factors considered. The government intends to evaluate each quote in the following areas in descending order of relative importance, Past Performance and Price. Prospective contractors must be registered in the central contractors registration database prior to award of a contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the Do D Central registration database may render your firm ineligible for award. Registration can be accomplished on www.ccr.gov. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 561621 with a size $10.5 million The anticipated release date for the RFQ is 22 August 2003 with a due date of 04 September 2003.
