Description

The Government intends to issue a solicitation for an indefinite quantity type contract for approximately 377 part number items sole source to MAN B&W (5P630 and K8098). The items include, but not limited to values, pumps, poppets, manifolds, cylinders, repair kits, seals, etc. and are spare parts in support of the VALENTA model propulsion engines used on U.S. Coast Guard and coastal patrol vessels. The Government requires a 30-90 day delivery dependent upon the item. Item provisioning is for the DLA stock replenishment system, Direct Vendor Delivery, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support. All interested offerors are encouraged to submit proposals. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote which shall be considered. Note 12 applies. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of September 5, 2003. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).
