Description

THIS NOTICE PROVIDES QUESTIONS RECEIVED FOR THIS SOLICITATION AND ANSWERS TO THOSE QUESTIONS. ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS SOLICITATION REMAIN AS STATED IN MODIFICATION 01 TO THIS SOLICITATION, AS POSTED IN WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV. QUESTION 1: In reference to the above solicitation, can you further clarify what is meant by the requirement for "installation" of the deposition equipment? / ANSWER TO 1: Installation: the hook up to existing facility utilities. NIST will prepare the install-area before the Contractor arrives (proper psi, gas type, regulators, etc). NIST will place the systems previously shipped to NIST by the Contractor in designated areas prior to the Contractor?s arrival. The Contractor will be required to connect the delivered systems to the NIST provided services. QUESTION 2: It is general practice for our customers to provide for rigging the systems into place and providing certified electrical and utility connections to the unit. Our responsibility generally begins with initial system start-up, Acceptance testing and performance. Would these requirements be listed by the Offeror under requirement (7) of the quote? ANSWER TO QUESTION 2: Yes. QUESTION 3: Can you indicate what level is expected from the supplier in reference to the "installation"? ANSWER TO QUESTION 3: Installation described in answer to Question 1 is what NIST requires. QUESTION 4: Will it be expected of the supplier [Contractor] to coordinate these activities with outside contractors? ANSWER TO QUESTION 4: No.
