- Description
- This is a modification to the synopsis entitled Space Flight Qualified Near Infrared (NIR) focal Plane Arrays (FPA), which was posted on [August 13, 2003. You are notified that the following changes are made: Additional information is being provided to clarify the total noise requirement. The requirement shown previously (<6 e- rms) represents the noise of the entire Detector Subsystem that includes the focal plane array (FPA), the focal plane electronics (FPE), and the harness. The required noise allocation of the FPA only is <5 e- rms per pixel, which can be achieved using multiple reads over 1000 seconds at the FPA operating temperature. The goal of <2.5 e- rms per pixel remains the same as previously stated. The dark current requirement is being modified to correct for an oversight in the development of the Spectrometer specification. The revised dark current requirement is 0.01 e-/sec. The revised Near Infrared Spectrometer Focal Plane Assembly Requirements Document, as well as, a letter that addresses the questions received in response to the R&D Sources Sought Notice for the NIRSpec requirement has been uploaded for review on the World WideWeb. The due date for responses to this notice and receipt of capability statements is extended to COB September 5, 2003. Documents related to this procurement are available over the Internet and are in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
