- IFB 10N3-220-03 EXTERIOR BRICKFACE REPAIRS/TUCKPOINTING Contractor shall provide all necessary labor and materials for the above project in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. This work will be performed at VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, New York Campus, New York, NY Work includes the following: Provide and install pintle anchor with stainless steel wire pintle; Provide and install mortar netting; Scrape, prime and paint relief angles; Replace relief angle; Cluster brick replacement; Brick replacement; Scrape, prime and paint relief angles; Repointing (lineal foot); Repointing (square foot); Install soft joint at relief angles; Window perimeter caulking; Clean, prime and paint existing tip of relief angle above windows; Install vertical movement joint; Provide and install repair anchors into concrete (spandrel beam) backup; Provide and install repair anchors into masonry backup; Brick replacement at corners; Coping stone caulking; Copper flashing; Composite flexible flashing; Remove, clean and paint wall mounted louvers; Caulking perimeter of louvers; Light trimming of tree branches; Install repair mortar, form and pump. Install repair mortar, hand applied; Relocate existing electrical conduit on exterior surface of A/C building. All work shall be performed in close coordination with building engineers. All installation work shall comply with the National Electric Code, Uniform Building Code, National Fire Protection Code and Occupational, Safety, Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Visits to the site by Bidders may be made only by appointment with the Medical Center Engineering Officer. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 236220, with a size standard of 28.5 Million. Estimated construction amount is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Completion time is 380 calendar days. The Invitation For Bids (IFB) including drawings, amendments, etc, (if applicable) will be available through the Internet website Fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies will be available for pick up from the Bronx VA or by written request on or about August 29, 2003 for a cost of $50.00 ONLY certified checks or money orders will be accepted. THERE IS A LIMITED NUMBER OF CONTRACT AVAILABLE IN A HARD COPY FORMAT AFTER THESE ARE DEPLETED, COPIES SHALL BE AVAILABLE VIA THE INTERNET. No fax or telephone requests will be accepted. All questions shall be submitted in writing. This is HUBZone Small-Business set-aside. BID: 8/28/03 BOD:9/29/03 @ 11:00 AM LOCAL TIME at the VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. AWARD SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS.
