Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. It is the governments' intent to make a sole source award to Monterey Bay Corporation in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, a justification for other than Full and Open Competition has been certified and approved. The solicitation number is DAHA17-03-R-0017. The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the FAR circular 97-27. The standard industrial classification code (SIC) is 3999 and the s mall business size is 500. The Maine Army National Guard is seeking to procure the following: 1. 6 each Beamhit shooting range simulators. System consists of four targets linked to a computer. The targets detect a laser Bullet hit and communicates exac t location, elapsed time of fire between shots and total time, maiximum dispersion within a shot group, mean point of impact and total score. Computer displays all four targets simultaneously. System comes with 4 targets, 4 laser transmitters, 4 transmi tter rods, target cables, AC power adapters, users manuals, computer software for system, control box, and batteries; 2. 24 each laser targets. Targets detect laser pulse and provides visual and audible report of hits. Counts up to 99 hits. Military Mask sets used to simulate 'E' type sillouettes scaled for training at 10/15/25 meters and varying levels of difficulty. 3. 12 each 25M Alternate 'C'Course target. Target set up at 25 meters and allow 10 targets to be linked together. Overlays allows trainer s to train at 10 and 15 meters. 2 versions of software to allow actual course of fire in accordance with FM 23-9 and gives the user a fully automated digital data entry and recrod keeping for each shooter. Printable scorecard. Second version of software allows trainers to do advanced training using unique scenarios. Can be used with M-9 and M-11. Carrying case, 10/15/25 meter overlays, pwer supply, cable, standard/advanced software, users manuals. 4. 24 each 25M Zero target reflective (Small). Full sca le presentation of standard 15/25 meter zeroing target with special reflective surface. 5. 6 each Carrying cases for system. The provision at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial items is applicable to this acquisition. Interested parties may submit pricing data by fax to Keith Waye at (207) 626-4527, by 4:00 PM, September 26, 2003. A determination not to compe te the proposed commercial item based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. If no affirmative responses are received by 4:00 PM, September 26, 2003, The Maine Army National Guard will proceed with the acquisition t o Monterey Bay Corporation. Numbered Note 1, 22 applies.
