Description

NA The purpose of this amendment is to provide notice of a change to the estimated maximum amount of the acquisition. The maximum quantity is anticipated to be $600,000,000 as follows: Functional Area 1(Engineering Services): $100,000,000 to be shared amon g the multiple contract awardees for Functional Area 1, and Functional Area 2 (Homeland Defense): $500,000,000, which will be shared among multiple contract awardees for Functional Area 2. The likelihood of available funding to reach the maximum quantity is provided for information as follows: Functional Area 1 - Category A - $2,000,000 per year; $10,000,000 total. This effort is most likely to be funded. It is based on previous and highly probable work to be conducted in the ECBC Engineering Directorate . Category B - $5,000,000 per year; $25,000,000 total. Funding at this level is possible; and highly dependent on world events. Category C - $20,000,000 per year; $100,000,000 total. This level of funding is a possibility, but is a low priority and recei pt of funding to support this level of effort is doubtful. Functional Area 2 - Category A - $10,000,000 per year; $50,000,000 total. This effort is most likely to be funded. It is based on previous and highly probable work to be conducted in the ECBC Engi neering Directorate. Category B - $50,000,000 per year; $250,000,000 total. Funding at this level is possible; and highly dependent on Chemical Biological Defense Program and Department of Homeland Security reorganizations. Category C - $100,000,000 per year; $500,000,000 total. This level of funding is a possibility, but is a low probability and receipt of funding to support this level of effort is remote and highly dependent on world events. A formal amendment will be issued to Solicitation DAAD13-03-R -0003 on or about 28 August 2003 for these changes, and other minor changes, and to extend the closing date for receipt of proposals to 11 September 2003.
