Description: NA Solicitation No. DADA16-03-T-0203 is being published for information purposes only. The Pacific Regional Contracting Office (PRCO), Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Hawaii intends to negotiate a sole-source requirement with Biomerieux, Inc. for the mai ntenance and service of the Government owned Vitek 240 Bacterial Detection Analyzer System and Vidas Data Collection System located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii. The contractor shall provide all necessary trained experienced personnel, labor, to ols, diagnostic equipment and software, hardware, firmware, test phantoms, material, supplies, transportation, parts and equipment necessary to perform all operations in connection with maintenance and servicing of the government owned Vitek 240 Bacterial Detection Analyzer System and Vidas Data Collection System to a fully functional state. The contractor shall perform preventive maintenance (PM); calibration, safety testing and remedial repair support in accordance with manufacture specifications and the Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor shall provide the necessary hardware (e.g. parts) and software required to maintain the systems. PRCO anticipates an award of a firm fixed-price contract. The NAICS code for this procurement is 811219 and the annual size standard is $6,000,000. The contract term will be a base period of one year to commence on or about 01 October 2003 - 30 September 2004, plus four one year options. The total term of the contract, including all options, will not exceed 60 months. If the Government does not awar d a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exer cised. Acquisition of this commercial item will be conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. This notice is not a request for competitive offers; however, firms who believe they can meet the requirements may submit written notification within 7 days fro m the date of publication of this synopsis. All responsible concerns may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole-source negotiation with Biomerieux.
