Description
Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division (NUWC) Keyport WA requires repair and refurbishment of 14 each, Government-owned model MUWS9 magnetic underwater sensors manufactured by Ultra Electronics Ltd. NUWC Keyport intends to acquire these services and associated parts from Ultra Electronics Ltd. under other than full and open competition basis in accordance with 10 USC 2304(c)(1) and as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. NAIC code 334511 applies. Inspection and acceptance will be at destination. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12 simplified commercial acquisition procedures. When issued, the RFQ will be posted electronically on the NUWC Division Keyport, Acquisition Division website. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFQ. No tele phone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available for download via NUWC Division Keyport website (<http://kpt-eco.kpt.nuwc.navy.mil>) on or about 28 Aug 2003. Award will be made on, or about 9 Sep 2003. No bidders? list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ/amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFQ and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer non-responsive and result in rejection of the same. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, and (3) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (<http://www.ccr.gov> ). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 7-days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
