Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons , Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) and Federal Prison Camp (FPC) in Pekin, Illinois. Services to be provided shall include inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. FCI Pekin is a medium level security institution with approximately 1200 male inmates. The satellite FPC is a low level security institution with approximately 260 female inmates. The contract type is indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities are as follows: Base Year - 150 inpatient days and 300 outpatient visits; Option Year 1 - 150 inpatient days and 300 outpatient visits; Option Year 2 - 150 inpatient days and 300 outpatient visits; Option Year 3 - 150 inpatient days and 300 outpatient visits; Option Year 4 - 150 inpatient days and 300 outpatient visits. The solicitation will be available on or about May 27, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration’s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on or about July 28, 2003. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 622110. This solicitation is unrestricted.
