Description

This is a Combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation for Commercial Services/Supplies prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this Notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request For Quotations and incorporates Provisions and Clauses IAW the FAR/DFAR. This is a competitive procurement. Award will be based on lowest bidder meeting all specifications. 01. BUILD AND INSTALL NEW RECEPTION DESK 02. BUILD AND INSTALL NEW WALL AND FLOOR CABINETS WITH COUNTERTOPS INCLUDES DEMO RECEPTION DESK, WALL AND FLOOR CABINETS AND COUNTERTOPS. REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF EXISTING HARDWARE, DELIVERY AND REMOVAL OF ALL REQUIRED MATERIAL. REINSTALL CARPET FASTENED TO RECEPTION DESK. STATEMENT OF WORK THIS STATEMENT OF WORK OUTLINES WORK TO BE PERFORMED AT FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER (FFSC) LOCATED AT 7928 14TH ST BUILDING SDA-344, NORFOLK VA 23505-1237. THE SELECTED CONTRACTOR MUST REVIEW THE DRAWINGS LOCATED AT THE SITE AND PERFORM ALL ASPECTS OF THE WORK OUTLINED BELOW. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL DISMANTLE ALL EXISTING PERIMETER CABINETS, COUNTERTOP (UPPER AND LOWER) WITH MINIMAL DAMAGE TO CABINETS. TOTAL NUMBER OF UPPER CABINETS: 11 DOUBLE CABINETS AND 1 SINGLE; TOTAL NUMBER OF LOWER CABINETS; 12 DOUBLE CABINETS AND ONE SINGLE CABINET WITH COUNTER TOP THAT COUVERS ALL LOWER CABINETS LOCATED IN THE MAIN ENTRANCE OF BUILDING SDA-344. UPPER AND LOWER CABINETS WILL BE LEFT ON SITE FOR FFSC TO DISTRIBUTE AS THEY SEE FIT. THIS AREA WILL BE PREPPED BY CONTRACTOR TO REINSTALL NEWLY CONSTRUCTED CABINETS AS SPECIFIED IN BLUE PRINTS PROVIDED BY FFSC. CONTRACTOR SHALL SUBMIT FINAL DRAWING FOR FFC?S REPRESENTATIVE?S APPROVAL PRIOR TO BUILDING THE RECEPTION DESK. CONTRACTOR SHALL DISMANTLE ENTIRE EXISTING RECEPTION DESK TO INCLUDE SERVICE COUNTER, DRAWERS AND CABINETS AND REMOVE FROM FFSC SITE TO DISPOSE OF, AS THEY (CONTRACTOR) DEEM NECESSARY. A CUSTOM BUILT LAMINATE STRUCTURE, AS SPECIFIED IN THE BLUE PRINT, WILL BE INSTALLED IN ITS PLACE. CONTRACTOR SHALL SEAL ALL EXPOSED WOOD WITH POLYURETHANE, COVER EXTERIOR WITH HIGH PRESSURE LAMINATE. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE FFSC REPRESENTATIVE WITH COLOR LAMINATE SAMPLES TO SELECT FROM. CONTRACTOR SHALL DISMANTLE RECEPTION AREA AFTER HOURS (AFTER 1630) AND DURING WEEKEND HOURS. CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSTRUCT NEW CABINETS, RECEPTION WORK AREA OFF-SITE TO BE INSTALLED ON AGREED UPON DATE, TO ALLOW MINIMAL DOWNTIME/CLIENT DISRUPTION FOR FFSC. REINSTALLATION SHALL ALSO TAKE PLACE AFTER HOURS AND DURING WEEKEND HOURS. CONTRACTOR SHALL REMOVE ITS TRASH AND DEBRIS CONTINOUSLY WHILE WORK IS IN PROGRESS AND COMPLETELY AWAY FROM THE JOB SITE AT THE END OF EACH DAY?S WORK. FFSC SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMOVE TRASH AND DEBRIS IF NOT SO REMOVED BY THE CONTRACTOR AND BACK-CHARGE CONTRACTOR FOR SUCH WORK. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY REMOVAL OF EXISTING RECEPTION DESK TO INCLUDE CARPET AND WALLS. Closing Date of Quote is SEPTEMBER 18, 2003 1200 HOURS (12:00PM) Eastern Standard Time. Facsimile Responses are preferred at 757-444-3081. Quotes will not be accepted unless you are registered on the Contractors Central Register.
