Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to L-3 Communications, Inc., Ruggedized Command & Control Solutions, 10770 Wateridge Circle, San Diego, CA 92121-5701 for Programmable Integrated Communications Terminals (PICT) 7300-4411, quantity of four (4) each. Delivery will be F.O.B. Newport, RI. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to L-3 Communications, using the procedures per FAR Part 12 and 13 for commercial items. The anticipated award date is 2003 September 15. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due the fact that L-3 Communications, Inc. has been identified as the only manufacturer of this specific communications terminal which is the only device that meets the requirements of the CSRR communications system and L-3 is the only distributor of these phones. The PICT 7300-4411 is a required part of the Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) and is specifically identified in the CSRR design. NAICS: 334290 .
