Description
NA Work to be performed under this contract consists of, but not limited to the following items of work: (a) Dredging will be required to a depth of 35 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Stat ion 0+000 to Station 1+975. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the North Channel edge when required dredging depths exist inside the channel along the perimeter of the north edge; (b) Dredging will be required to a depth of 38 feet MLW (Christina River Datum) plus 1-foot allowable overdepth within the contract work limits from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236. Dredging will be required to a distance of 25 feet outside the north channel edge, north turning basin edges, and entrance wi dening (flare) from Station 1+975 to Station 6+236, when required dredging depths exist inside the channel and basin, along the perimeter of the aforementioned north limits; (c) No side slopes or end slopes are specified for this contract; (d) Hopper or bu cket dredging will not be permitted under this contract; (e) The Government-furnished disposal area available for use under this contract is Wilmington Harbor North Disposal Area. The Invitation For Bid Number (IFB) DACW61-03-B-0021 will be available on t he Internet Web pages on or about 22 September 2003. Hard copies will not be available. No written or fax requests will be accepted. Contractors shall download this IFB (including drawings) and all amendments from the Internet web page at the follow ing address https://ebs.nap.usace.army.mil on or after the issue date of the IFB. The official media of distribution for the IFB is the Internet Web Page. All amendments to this IFB will be posted to the Internet web page at the above address. Hard copi es will not be furnished. It is the contractors responsibility to monitor the web page for any amendments. Interested contractors must register on the Internet Web page. If any of the contractors information changes during the advertisement period, cont ractors are responsible to make changes to their user profile on the Internet Web Page. Failure to make changes in their user profile may cause for delay in receiving notification of the IFB and Amendments. Contractors are responsible for printing copies of the IFB and any amendments. Bids will be opened on or about 22 October 2003 at 11:00 a.m. The NAICS Code is 237990 with a size standard of $17.0 million. The estimated range of the project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00 and bonding is required. If your bid guarantee is in the form of a bid bond, the bond must be properly signed by both the bidder and surety (BONDING DOCUMENTS INCLUDING POWER OF ATTORNEY SHOULD BEAR AN ORIGINAL SIGNATURE BY AN OFFICER OF THE SURETY) and all required seals must be affixed. All contractors must be registered in the DoDs Central Contract Register (CCR) database before award as required by DFARS 204.7300.
