Description

The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), has a requirement for the Harding Lake Geologic Investigation project. This project requires a contactor to furnish all personnel, equipment, labor, materials, and transportation to drill approximately fifteen to twenty holes to a depth of about fifty feet. Location of drill holes will be marked in the field. the contract will include clearing a trail to the site to allow drill rig access. Each core will be logged and analyzed. Analysis will include moisture content, grain size analysis (3" to #200 sieve), and a twenty four hour hydrometer analysis for grain size <#40 sieve. Each core will be assessed for frozen unit weight and thaw consolidation. The results of this analysis will be provided in a professional report sealed by a professional engineer registered in the state of Alaska. the magnitude of this requirement is estimated between $50,000 to $100,000. the NAICS Code for this requirement is 234990.
