Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to negotiate a noncompetitive contract with Ludowici Roof Tile Company. This award is for the purchase of French Field Tile (clay red) 46 sq. ft, French End Bands -18 ea., French Gable Rakes - 32 ea., #102 Hip Roll - 296 ea., #152 Hip Starters - 6 ea., #206 Ridge - 41 ea., #206 Closed Ridge Ends - 2 ea., #102/a206 e-way Terminal - 3 ea. This tile is required for the completion of a significant restoration project, Phase II of the Egmont Key Guardhouse on Egmont Key National Wildlife Refuge. The tile needed for this project is Ludowici French field tile and is the same tile that was originally used in the construction of the building in 1911. THIS IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. Ludowici Company is the only known manufacturer and distributor for this item. All inquries and concerns must be addressed in writing to the address of facsimile number stated herein, Attn: Helen F. Mitchell. Response to this notice must be received by September 17, 2003. If no response is received and award will be made to Ludowici Roof Tile Company.
