Description

NA This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole-source contract under FAR 6.302-1 to Siemens Medical. Siemens is the manufacturer of the Acuson Aspen and is the only known source to have access to the proprietary software that is required. This requirement i s to provide maintenance service and repair to include all part, labor and travel to include software updates on Aspen with components. The period of performance will be for a base year and (4) four option years, from 15 September 2003 through 14 Septemb er 14 2004. This request is being issued using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) authorized in FAR subpart 13.5 Test Program for certain Commercial Items and will result in single firm fixed-priced contract. The NAICS for this acquisition is 81131 0 with a size standard of $5 million. Note: 22 Applies.****
