Description
MT PFH 59-1(1), BEARTOOTH HIGHWAY, Park County, Montana. This modification is issued to AMEND THE TENTATIVE RESPONSE DATE and advise interested vendors of the availability of REVISED PRELIMINARY PLANS on line from FedBizOpps at www.eps.gov. When solicitation documents are issued, the invitation for bid (specifications) and bidder’s packet will also be available in electronic format only at the same site. Pending finalization of details to make plans available electronically, plans will only be available in paper format. If you previously requested preliminary plans, you will not automatically receive the final plans, but will receive a mailed notice inviting you to confirm your interest in receiving plans. Plans may also be requested by e-mail to contracts@wfl.fha.dot.gov, or by fax to (360) 619-7932. THE WORK CONSISTS OF 8.01 km of grading, base, asphalt concrete pavement, and drainage. The project consists of construction survey & staking; contractor sampling & testing; construction schedules; permanent traffic control devices; temporary traffic control; water system; 5,200 m silt fence; 300 m plastic lined diversion channel; 100 su soil stabilization; 15,000 cu m watering for dust control; 24 ha clearing & grubbing; removal of 60 signs; removal of 4 gates; 180,000 cu m excavation & embankment; 31,500 cu m subexcavation; 45,000 cu m unclassified borrow; 105,500 cu m select borrow; 70 ea boulders; 15,717 sq m roadway obliteration; 1,760 cu m riprap; 3,310 m riprap lined ditch; 9 ea culvert outlet control system; 18 ea riprap headwall; 200 sq m energy dissipater; 143,000 ton untreated aggregate courses; 2,000 sq m road reconditioning; 8,800 ton stockpiled aggregate; 18,400 ton hot asphalt concrete pavement; 1,060 t asphalt cement grade SHRP PG 58-34; 180 t hydrated lime filler; 5 t minor hot asphalt concrete; 110 ton asphalt prime coat; 250 t blotter; 35 ton asphalt tack coat; 13,000 sq m asphalt pavement milling; 7 kg crack cleaning & sealing; 20 cu m minor concrete structures; 1,690 m pipe culvert; 37 m pipe arch culvert; 37 m box culverts; 300 m underdrains; 10 sq m paved waterway; 780 m asphalt curb; 3,840 m guardrail; 26 ea guardrail terminal sections; 13 ha topsoil; 150 su turf establishment; 67,200 m permanent pavement markings; 8,000 flagger hrs; 2,000 pilot car hrs; 250 day traffic & safety supervisor; and other smaller items of work. Project is located approximately 140 km east of Gardiner, Montana. Work shall be completed by August 17, 2005. Estimated price range is between $5 million and $10 million. The following applies only to MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT’s Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT’s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000 with interest at prime rate.
