Description

The contractor is to provide labor, equipment, tools and materials to clean and remove excessive marine growth fromt he existing permanent boom stationed under the outboard side of Coast Guard Island's 1330 foot long WHEC Dock. The contractor will replace all unserviceable boom attachment hardware, replace lost downline cable station anchors, and adjust the overall system hardware to aaure efficient operation. Dispose of the existing unserviceable prevention booms and replace with new stock. Purchase and install 1500 feet of new poly-urethane boom and required attachment hardware at the WHEC Dock Berth's 2 and 3. Purchase/Fabricate six ploating boom stand-oofs. Stand-off minimum dimension will be 12 feet. Contractor is to provide a method of stationing the prevention boom ont he dock or in the water for swift deployment and ease of retrieval and servicing.
