Description

NA The Southern Region Contracting Center, Fort McPherson, GA intends to procure on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1 from Applied Biosystems, 850 Lincoln Center Drive Foster City, CA 94404-1128, maintenance and repair support on the 310 Genetic Analyzer Serial Numbers 100001387, 100001386, 100001278 and 100001283, the 9700 Base Module Serial Number 805S8111164 and 096S8111128 and the 9700-96Well, Sample Module Serial Number 096S8111128 and 096S8111120. Applied Biosystems is the only known company that is authorized and qualified to maintain and repair these instruments. This notice is not a request for quotations. However, any firm believing it capable of meeting requirements may submit technical documentation to establish the firm?? ????s capability to provide services. Such documents must be submitted to the POC within 3 days of electronic posting of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretio n of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date will be prior to September 30, 2003. The contract shall be a firm fixed price contract. All interested parties shall e-mail Mrs. Bonnie Westbrook at bonnie.westbrook@us.army.mil and indicate their interes t and capability to provide services. In order to be eligible for award firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR). Please note that defense payment offices may not make payment unless the contractor is established to receive electronic funds transfer (EFT).
