Description
SYNOPSIS MAINTENANCE SUPPORT FOR AGING EQUIPMENT The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Aviation System Standards, Resource Management Staff, AVN-27 has a requirement for the removal of 7 each KLN-90B GPS???s, VIR-30 VOR/ILS receiver, VHF-20 VHF Comm. and installation of a Garmin Global Navigation System seven GNS-530 and seven GNS-430A???s with a 16 watt VHF Radio and a Shadin ADC 200 Air Data Computer in Seven (7) different FAA Beechcraft C-90 and F-90 aircraft. This requirement can only be met by FAA certified Aircraft Repair Stations. Copies of current certificate have to be provided with all proposals. The requirement is 100 % set-aside for Small business using NAICS 488190 size standard is $6 million. Offers received without the certification will be determined unacceptable and shall be removed from further consideration for award. The configuration of equipment listed is the only configuration that is acceptable. Offeror that propose other equipment will be determined unacceptable and shall also be removed form further consideration for award. This equipment is manufactured by Garmin International, 1200 E. 151st Street, Olathe, KS 66062 and is proprietary to that firm. This equipment is the only equipment configuration that may be proposed as the equipment is for Standardization of equipment on FAA aircraft, there shall be no substitution. This equipment is required to insure standardization of systems and compatibility with other aircraft components and is to be installed on the flight inspection fleet aircraft. The equipment configuration cannot be changed. All proposals must be received not later than 3:30 p.m., local time, September 23, 2003. Proposal that are mailed need to be submitted to FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, AMQ-130 Service Desk, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, OK 73125-4929. Over night delivery must be made to FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, AMQ-130 Service Desk, 6500 South MacArthur Blvd., Multi-Purpose Building, Room 321, Oklahoma City, OK 73169.
