- NA The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intends to establish an FFRDC, as required by the Homeland Security Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-296, Section 312), to be known as the Homeland Security Institute. The primary mission of the Institute will be to as sist the Office of the Secretary of the DHS, the Under Secretary for Science and Technology and other DHS Operating Elements in addressing important homeland security issues, particularly those requiring scientific, technical and analytical expertise. Please provide electronically, via email to FFRDC@amedd.army.mil , communication indicating your interest in the project along with a brief synopsis (no longer than 400 words) of your experience and capabilities relating to the establishment of a FFRDC.
