- Description
- The purpose of A002 to RFQ No. EMV-2003-RQ-0046 is to provide additional information as a result of another question received by the Government based on the issuance of the combined synopsis/solicitation and to provide an answer to said questions. QUESTION: Is it imperative that the requirement identified in paragraph 2.2.5 of the specifications be met (i.e., "Remote - The UPS logic shall be capable of remote operation allowing activation of the following functions from a remote location: a. Inverter stop. b. Inverter start. c. Emergency power off."). Is this specification being directed to a specific brand of UPS? ANSWER: The requirement in paragraph 2.2.5 is included because the Government desires the capability to monitor and control all large UPS units on the Government facility from a central control room, for both operational and safety reasons. The specifications for this requirement were based upon Mitsubishi Electric Automation (www.meau.com) equipment, although they were extensively edited to remove proprietary requirements. No further questions will be entertained by the Government following the issuance of this Amendment No. A002. END OF AMENDMENT NO. A002 TO RFQ NO. EMV-2003-RQ-0046.
