Description

The USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS) intends to negotiate solely with Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA to furnish and deliver (FOB Destination) an API 3000 high performance triple quadrupole mass spectrometer for the U. S. Plant, Soil and Nutrition Laboratory, Ithaca, NY. To support ongoing research needs, the system must operate with a mass range of m/z 5 to 1800, mass accuracy 0.01%, sensitivity range .003 ppm 200:1 signal to noise, capable of use with existing nitrogen supply systems. The data system must be MAC and PC compatible with networking capability for data transfer. Companies with demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide such software must submit a written substantive statement outlining the company?s and system?s capabilities to the Contracting Officer within 5 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal nor is a solicitation available.
