Description
NA INCORPORATE INFORMATION WHICH WAS MISSING FROM THE ORIGINAL STATEMEN OF WORK. LIGHTING, DOORS, EMERGENCY LIGHTS & AC SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and all other items to complete the following: A Using a combination of existing, as well as install new circuits, upgrade lighting in accordance with the supplied diagrams and New York City electrical code. B The contractor shall install 205 fluorescent light fixtures. The fixture will be 2 lamps, 4 foot, surface mount plastic wrap. They will be installed IAW the supplied diagrams. They will include all necessary lamps. C In 8 different places the contractor will install new circuits from the distribution panel with in the apartment and feed the new lighting IAW the supplied diagrams. These circuits will be 15-amp capacity. D In the remaining areas the contractor will utilize the supplied circuits IAW the supplied diagrams to feed the new lighting. E The contractor is responsible to install all branch circuit wiring necessary to complete all lighting circuits. All circuits will be installed either by concealed BX cable or surface mount wire mold. All Wire mold, boxes and fittings will be Ivory in col or. The necessary devices and plates will match those existing within the same room. F When branching off the existing circuits the contractor will install a new device and cover within that box, no old devices will be re installed or accepted. In accordance with the diagrams the contractor will need to change out approximately 28 duplex r eceptacles of 120 volt 15 amp capacity, and 42 single pole switches of 120 volt 15 amp capacity. G The contractor will supply as built diagrams with this job before final payment can be given. F When branching off the existing circuits the contractor will install a new device and cover within that box, no old devices will be re installed or accepted. In accordance with the diagrams the contractor will need to change out approximately 28 duplex receptacles of 120 volt 15 amp capacity, and 42 single pole switches of 120 volt 15 amp capacity. H The contractor shall replace the two front lobby entrance doors to building 137 c. The doors shall match existing with all applicable hardware. The doors shall swing in the outward motion. The door is currently full panel safety glass, storefront style. Door is 36 inches in width and approximately 7 feet tall. The contractor will replace the entire storefront opening to include the vision panels on the sides. I -The contractor will purchase and install 17 window air conditioning units. The units shall be 10,000 BTU with no less than 9.5. They shall be 110 volts. The contractor is responsible for all mounting brackets and finish pieces to fill in window. The ins tallation must be complete to a professional grade. J The contractor shall purchase and install according to supplied diagrams 15 emergency light units. The will be 12 volt 3 head units, New York City approved. The contractor is responsible to install outlets to supply power for these units. The contractor can use Wire mold conduit, Ivory only in color to supply power. This shall terminate into a 1-gang wire mold box with a 15 amp duplex receptacle, ivory in color with an ivory finish plate. The emergency light unit shall have an SJ type cord with a male plu g end for a connection.GENERAL CONDITIONS Point of contact and COR is Robert Downes or Drew Cavosi, who can be reached at (718) 630-4749 and (718) 630-4991 respectively. Contractor shall meet with the POC immediately to discuss problem areas, and shall be responsible for all work performed. CONTRACTOR SHALL PERFORM CLEAN UP OF JOB SIGHT ON DAILY BASIS. THERE SHALL BE NO DEBRIS AT ALL LEFT ON JOB SITE AFTER C.O.B. EVERY DAY. Contractor shall provide a telephone number of person to call should the need arise. If any excavation is needed during this work the contractor is responsible to obtain a digging permit from the engineering chief Mr. Mike Paidoussis located in building 129. Contractor is responsible to provide work schedule for the job, i.e., time, date performance period, etc. Contractor is responsible to notify manager of building, or person in charge, 1 week before starting the job, schedule of the job and estimated completion date of the job. The contractor will be responsible for any holes made during the installation of the job and will be responsible to patch and paint to the governments satisfaction any areas damaged during the work process. Any item that may have been unintentionally omitted from this specification, but which constitute acceptable practice in the trade, does not relieve the contractor of his responsibility to perform same. Contractor shall report to Government COR, and dange rous or problematic condition which he may uncover in the course of executing this specification. On site inspection shall be performed prior to submittals, to verify measurements and field conditions. All OSHA safety measures shall be taken while work is in progress. All work shall be performed by experienced workers with proper tools, equipment, and in a good workman like manner. Upon completion of the job, contractor shall remove all debris from government property. Contractor shall leave the job site each day in a neat broom swept appearance and suitable cordoned off from the passage of non-construction personnel. Contractor shall register with the police at Bldg. 130 before commencement of work on a military post. ALL WORK DONE ON THIS JOB SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL AND NATIONAL STANDARDS AND CODES. WHEN THE CODES DIFFER THE MORE STRINGENT SHALL APPLY. Contractor shall supply COR with cuts of significant materials to be installed, name and quality for government approval prior to installation. The contractor shall proceed within 10 calendar days after award and have the job completed within 60 working days after start.
