Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals - (Army, Navy, Air Force) TRICARE Regions 9 and 10 Conventional Needles & Syringes - Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, TRICARE Regions 9 & 10, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Conventional Needles & Syringes. TRICARE Regions 9 and 10, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Conventional Needles & Syringes. If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) for Conventional Needles & Syringes, your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by Email: cingrao@reg9.med.navy.mil and provide your company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax and E-mail address and answers to the below listed questions no later than September 25, 2003. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture sterile conventional needles and syringes? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your products? 5.Under what standards are your products manufactured? 6.Are your products latex free? 7.Do you use non-toxic, color fast dyes for labeling on your products? 8.What material are your syringes made of? 9.What material are your needles made of? 10.Are your syringes incompatible with any fluids or medications? 11.Do your syringes come capped and sterile in a package that can be delivered to a sterile field? 12.What tip styles are available for your syringes? 13.What sizes are available for your syringes? 14.What gauges and lengths are available for your needles? 15.Are your needles and syringes compatible with each other and all other manufacturers? 16.What types of educational tools or materials do you have for this product line? 17.What kind of staff training does your company provide? 18.Does your company provide customer service 24/7? 19.Is there any history of backorders and/or recalls for this product group?
