- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2001-15, Effective 25 Aug 2003. This is a total small business set-aside under NAICS 423690. This purchase is for hand-held radios for emergency communications in and near DISA (CONUS) occupied facilities. The estimated quantity is one hundred twenty-two (122) each professional grade hand-held two-way radio communication equipment with ?heavy-duty? desktop chargers. These radios must meet these specifications: aluminum frame, polycarbonate cabinet, withstand a drop of five vertical feet onto a concrete surface; Ultra High Frequency; range of five (5) miles (line-of-sight); General Mobil Radio Service (GMRS)/Family Radio Service (FRS) Capability, twelve (12) channel ? seven 7 channel GMRS and 5 Channels FRS, two (2) watts; auto scan, auto squelch, LCD read-rout display, and rechargeable. Interested vendors will submit literature/brochures describing their product(s) in sufficient detail to allow review. Selected vendors will then be required to demonstrate their product. Delivery will be made NLT 30 days after receipt of order. FOB point is destination to be made at: DISA Warehouse, Bldg. 15 ? Attn: Jeanette Boyd, 701 S. Courthouse Rd., Arlington, VA 22204-2199.
