Description
This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis for the Design and Engineering Support Program (DESP) II, a follow-on contract to DESP. The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting a Market Research of Industry to identify potential contractors for DESP II. Also, a Request for Information is included within this synopsis, which allows the contractor the opportunity to provide comment for the development of DESP II. The Hill AFB, Utah, Engineering Directorate, Engineering Home Office Branch will award a follow-on multiple award contract to the DESP. The purpose of the follow-on contract, DESP II, is to provide the Air Force with high caliber engineering and technical services to support all AFMC weapon systems, subsystems, and related processes. The Air Force will acquire design and engineering support services through multiple indefinite-delivery contracts awarded through an Agency Level Source Selection. It is anticipated that DESP II will be a 60-month, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with multiple pricing arrangements. The DESP II contract will address technical areas such as: Laboratory Services, Technical Documentation, Courseware Development, Systems Design, Engineering, Development, Software/Firmware, Maintenance, Repair, Operational Support, Process Modeling, Analysis, Re-Engineering, Environmental, Health, and Safety. The contractor will be responsible for providing engineering and technical expertise in these areas. Potential offerors are requested to complete the Market Survey and Request for Information found on the DESP II website at http://contracting.hill.af.mil/newcontracting/Opportunities/Aircraft/DESPII/despII.htm . Two copies each response are requested to be sent to Christi Field at OO-ALC/LGKF, 6072 Fir Ave/Bldg 1233, Hill AFB, UT, 84056-5820 or via e-mail at Christi.field@hill.af.mil. Responses are due no later than close of business 2 Oct 03. No phone or FAX requests will be accepted. The government does not intend to made an award on the basis of this sources sought synopsis or otherwise pay for the information solicited herein. Copies of the submitted information will be reproduced and submitted to the DESP II Integrated Process Team (IPT) for review. Results of the review will be used to develop the DRAFT RFP.
