Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Division Newport, Rhode Island intends to issue a fixed price Purchase Order to Teac America, Inc. (TAI) on a sole source basis to obtain one (1) each Data Acquisition System comprised of the following TAI elements: one (1) each TAI model number GX-1-MU Main Unit, one (1) each TAI model number GX-AIT Data Storage Tape Drive, six (6) each TAI model number AR-GXPA DC Constant Current Input Modules two (2) each TAI model number BU-GXB Battery Packs, one (1) each TAI model number BU-GXC Battery Charger, one (1) each TAI model number ER-GXRC Remote Control Unit, one (1) each TAI model number Adapter 1480 PCMCIA-SCSI-2 notebook PC, one (1) each TAI model number DRA-GX16 Transportation Case, one (1) each TAI model number TZ-GXRM16 Rack Mount Adapter. The Data Acquisition System, comprised of the above elements, will be used to collect data while in the NUWC LIGHT electric underwater vehicle. The Data Acquisition System is sole-source to TAI due to the envelope constraint of the vehicle 13x4x9 inches. TAI is the only supplier who can satisfy this constraint. NAICS: 421690.
