OCC is looking for a responsible 8(a) vendor who can fulfill the following requirements: (1) STORAGE FACILITY for OCC's furniture, equipment, building supplies, etc. The established storage facility must be within a 35-mile radius of OCC headquarters; must have approximately 11,000 square feet of consolidated space for all of OCC's property; must use a storage system that keeps all OCC property off the ground; must securely wrap up OCC property, such as furniture, that is susceptible to damage; must maintain a security system for the facility; must maintain a secure access system to the facility; must have a fire suppression system, including sprinklers; must have a loading dock equipped to load and offload trucks of various sizes, including tractor-trailers. (2) ELECTRONIC INVENTORY. A computer-based system designed to clearly describe, maintain and update property inventory. The inventory system is to be populated with much of the following information to guarantee accuracy of inventory and ability to locate property quickly: Type of item, dimensions, color or fabric description, wood type, make, model, serial number, property number, name of OCC unit that manages the property, unit of issue, number of items, location in the warehouse (the warehouse location must be specifically identified in the inventory system and clearly marked in the warehouse itself), etc. (3) PICKUP AND DELIVERY SERVICES. The vendor must supply the trucks and labor to pick up and deliver OCC property between the warehouse, OCC headquarters and other DC metropolitan area locations, such as the OCC Data Center in Landover, MD. (4) RECEIVING SERVICES. The vendor must accept deliveries to the warehouse by third parties, such as a trucking company delivering new furniture. (5) VENDOR'S EMPLOYEES. The vendor must have trained employees with experience in warehousing operations, electronic inventory maintenance, and pickup/delivery services. 8(a) vendors that have an ESTABLISHED storage facility, an established electronic INVENTORY system, and can provide the services required are to EMAIL information to STEVE O'BRIANT at steve.obriant@occ.treas.gov by Tuesday, September 23, 2003. *****
