Description

Posted herein is the notice of availability for requesting a copy of the DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) identified as Solicitation No. RFP-NHQ-03-004-DRAFT_RFP. The DRAFT RFP is for an OMB Circular A-76 Study of a wide array of cartography and mapping functions including geospatial data development, access and distribution; soil survey publication and imagery support; natural resource data collection support for the National Resources Inventory program; remote sensing; GPS; and training that are currently being performed by the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) at its National Cartography and Geospatial Center (NCGC) in Ft. Worth, TX. Refer to the Transition Announcement posted in Federal Business Opportunities on June 27, 2003, under solicitation number RFP-NHQ-03-004-TransitionAnnouncement. This is a DRAFT RFP and should not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a formal RFP or contract. Prospective offerors may contact Alan Browder, Contracting Officer, via email at abrowder@ftw.nrcs.usda.gov to request a copy of the DRAFT RFP which will be provided as a set of CDs. All such email requests must cite Solicitation No. RFP-NHQ-03-004-DRAFT_RFP, which is to be available or released on September 23, 2003 or soon thereafter. Actual data for the Demonstration Projects as indicated in the DRAFT RFP will not be made available until such time as the FINAL RFP is released. The DRAFT RFP is open for comment until 11:59 P.M., Central Standard Time, October 22, 2003. All comments must be submitted on the attached Comment Form and sent only by e-mail as an attachment to abrowder@ftw.nrcs.usda.gov. All e-mailed responses must provide the return e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, and facsimile (fax) number in the body of the response. Comments by telephone will not be accepted. NRCS intends to use for internal purposes only the responses or comments provided by prospective or interested parties. The FINAL RFP does not exist at this time. It shall be the responsibility of the respondent to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis, solicitation, or other related document.
