Description

NA The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground, (USAYPG), AZ intends to negotiate with Encore Real Time Computing, Incorporated 729 Windwillow Way, Simi Valley, California 93065-6665 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract requirement i s for a Server System consisting of eight (8) each Pentium processors, to include a Pentinum-2P LCRS and three (3) Pentium-2P RTE Server, 4 PCIRMS Boards and cables, network interfaces, 4 PCI-RTOM hardware interfaces and software packages, four disk drives , the LCRS Sub-system hardware/software package and the RTE System Server software package with a one year purchase option for a second system. This system will be incorporated into the existing legacy Encore computer system currently operating the Real-t ime data Processing system and must meet the form fit and function of USAYPG??????s Real-time Data Processing system. Encore is the original equipment manufacturer and integrator of the LCRS sub-system and RTE system server and possesses the proprietary s chematics and specifications to for this system. All technical data relative to the system is proprietary to Encore Real Time Computing. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability to meet the Government??????s requirement no later than 2:00 PM 29 September 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion o f the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 10 days i nstead of 45 days.
