Description

NA 24- Drag Scraper Synopsis/Solicitation. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitut es the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is being issued under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) as a Brand Name or Equal in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR clause 52. 211-6. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2001-15 (25 August 03) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), 1998 edi tion, and current to DCN 20030821(June 2003). The preferred method of payment is by Government Visa Credit Card. This acquisition is issued as a 100% small business set aside. The Standard Industrial Classification(SIC)code is 3531 and the North America n Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 333120 with a size standard of 750 employees. This requirement is for CLIN 0001 one each Holmes 12 foot Drag Scraper with Foam Filled Tires, Hydraulic Hose Protection, Extended Tongue 20 feet and 3/8 inch Chain Curtain across the front Cross Tube 36 inch depth and CLIN 0002 one each Holmes 18 foot Drag Scraper with Foam Filled Tires, Hydraulic Hose Protection, Extended Tongue 20 feet and 3/8 inch Chain Curtain across the front, Cross Tube 36 inch Depth. The pri ces shall include shipping and handling. Offerors who fail to provide detailed descriptive literature that shows that their proposed equipment is equal to the salient characteristics and specifications of the Holmes Drag Scraper may be considered non-resp onsive. The following FAR and DFAR representations and certifications apply to this acquisition and must be filled out in accordance with FAR provision 52. 212-1, Instruction to Offerors Commercial Items (Jul 2003) and FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation s and Certifications Commercial Items (Jun 2003). Offerors that fail to furnish required representations or information as required by FAR 52.212-1 and 52.212-3 cited above, or rejects the terms and conditions of this solicitation may be excluded from con sideration.
