Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is not a small business set-aside; any responsible source may submit an offer. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number M67400-03-T-1084 applies and is issued as a Request for Quote. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-45 and Defense Acquisition Circular 91-11. The North American Industry Classification System code is 333314. The business size standard is NTE 5.0 million. The agency need is for: ITEM 0001: QTY: 51 EA Night Vision Device Description of Requirement: Desired Features of the Night Vision Device: 1. Binocular with Zoom Lenses 2. No less than 3X magnification 3. No less than 40 degrees field of vision 4. Built in infrared illuminator 5. Can be either Handheld or head mounted 6. Must have stereoscopic view 7. Must use a standard commercially available lithium or alkaline battery, must not use a company exclusive battery. Battery must have at least a 20 hour life 8. Can be dual used as a long range binocular 9. Must have ability to see in total darkness. 10. Must have low battery indicator 11.Must be weatherproof 12. Must have a Carry Case 13. Must have lens protectors 14. Must come with two batteries. Part Number: BN079 Mfr: Galls OR EQUAL ITEM 0002: 3X Lens Kit for above Night Vision Device Description of Requirement: Optional 3X Lens Kit for above Night vision Device enhances performance and prolongs life of the unit by having a replacement lens set in each carrying case. Item must fit the Night Vision Device Procured in line no. 1 above. Part Number: BN08. Mfr: Galls OR EQUAL ITEM 0003: Night Vision Device Headmount Description of Requirement: This item permits the Night Vision Device in Line no. 1 to be mounted on the head and permit it to be used while the hands remain free. This item must be procured to work with and fit line no. 1 night vision device. Part Number: K-BN083. Mfr: Galls OR EQUAL DELIVERY: DELIVERY: Night Vision Devices are to be packed for overseas shipment to ensure arrival without possible damage due to sea transportation. All quotations shall be FOB Destination to Defense Distribution San Joaquin Tracy Depot Bldg 30 CCP, 25600 Chrisman Road, Tracy CA 95376. 30 days after award. SOLICITATION PROVISIONS: The following provisions apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct 2000). Award will be made on the basis of the most advantageous proposal that meeting or exceeding the acceptability standards with technical being more important than price.
