Description

NA Sole Source: The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground,(USAYPG,AZ intends to negotiate with Pyrotech International Incorporated, Post Office Box 76 Hinckley, Ohio 44233 (330) 273-9909 on an other than full and open competition basis. The contract require ment is for the conversion of the detection system in Building 3130 to Detector Electronics equipment, which is form,fit and function with the Rapid Deluge system currently installed in the Ammo Bays at the US Army Yuma Proving Ground. This upgrade will p rovide form, fit and functionality for all the Rapid Response Systems to facilitate safe operations in accordance with the USAYPG testing mission. Pyrotech International is the original equipment manufacturer of the existing Deluge systems installed in se veral of the buildings and bays and possesses all the technical schematics and specifications to provide this deluge system upgrade. All technical data relative to the system is proprietary to Pyrotech International. All interested parties may submit tec hnical literature showing their capability to meet the Government requirement no later than 2:00 PM 29 September 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed c ontract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. In accordance with FAR 5.203(a)(1) the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 5 days instead of 45 days. See Note 22.
