Description
The Joint Program Manager - Lightweight Howitzer, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806 -5000 is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources for a New Equipment Training Team (NETT) to provide training on the M777 and M777E1 155mm Lightweight Howitzer. The M777 Program is a joint U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) and US ARMY effort. USMC M198 Howitzer operators and maintainers are to be trained beginning in FY05. U.S. Army soldiers are to be trained on the M777E1 howitzer, incorporating a new digital fire control system, beginning in FY06. The M777/M777E1 Lightweight Howitzer will be replacing the current 155mm M198 Howitzer in the Army and Marine Corps. NETT training is required to transition current M198 operators and maintainers to the new M777/M777E1 system. All respondents must be able to demonstrate past performance as well as the capability to provide system training. Interested firms who feel that they are capable of supplying NETT Training are invited to indicate their interest by providing specifications, brochures, videos or any other pertinent information. Please provide your submission electronically to the following address: dimatteo@pica.army.mil. Submittals are required by close of business, 14 October 2003. Technical point of contact is Kevin Ellis at 973- 724-4902. Contract Specialist for this action is Denise L. DiMatteo ? 973-724- 3912. This is a market survey for information only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the US Government. The US Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited.
