- Description
- Description: See numbered notes 9, 12, and 26. NSN 2520-01-164-7234, Torque Converter (heavy duty, 6 mounting pads, metric threaded mounting holes). Used on GMC M1008 (CUCV) and AM general M998 (HMMWV). Part being bought in accordance with GM (7X677) P/N 8656942. Part may new or rebuilt. If rebuilt the Government will not furnish the cores and a first article test in accordance with DSCC drawing CS 2520-0012 is required. Total quantity required is 1404 each with 1020 each going to (W25G1U) New Cumberland, PA 17070-5001 and 384 each to be shipped to (W62G2T) Stockton, CA 95296-0130, FOB destination. There is an option for 1404 each, which may or may not be exercised by the Government. This solicitation is an RFP and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp after the issue date 11/24/03. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Technical drawings/bid sets for the rebuild criteria are available after the above issue date from DSCC-VTCD via one of the following media: internet at the above web cite; facsimile at (614) 692-2998: telephone at (614) 692-2344; e-mail at drawings@dscc.dla.mil or by mail at Defense Supply Center Columbus, ATTN: DSCC-VTCD, PO BOX 2990, Columbus, OH 43216-5000. Requests should include the RFP number, opening/closing date, NSN, purchase Request Number (e.g. YPC/YPE), buyer?s name and your complete name and address. FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. This acquisition is not set-aside for small business. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. The required delivery is 215 days including time for the first article test and 140 days if the test is not required. A written quotation is required to be returned to the Bid Room DSCC-PBAA.
