- NSN: 2840-01-192-7417PR P/N: 9340M19G02 Noun: Aircraft Air Seal Item Description: This is the number four bearing rotating air seal for the F-110-GE-400 jet engine. Its purpose is to regulate airflow and pressure into the aft bearing sump. Material and Dimensions are as follows: Imconel 718. It is approximately 3 inches long by 9 inches in diameter. Applicable to: F110 Engine. Destination: Navy Liason Office Bldg 412 Door 3, Tinker AFB, OK 73145-5990 Delivery: September 2004 Estimated Qty: 16 Qualification Requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The qualification requirements for this item were established prior to 19 Oct 1984 and the requirements of FAR 9.202(A) do not apply. Qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. The approximate issue date of the solicitation will be 19 November 2003. The approximate response date of the solicitation will be 19 December 2003. The anticipated award date will be 29 December 2003. Written and electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. First Article Test Required. No telephone requests. Contractors must obtain a copy of the solicitation from the FedBizOpps website. This office no longer mails solicitations. Data may be obtained from the TeDs website at www.dodteds.com once the solicitation has been issued. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation will identify the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performance factors as detailed in the solicitation. Note: Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government?s requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice.
