Description
The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue solicitation N00024-04-R-5341 on a sole source basis to Raytheon Company, 1151 E. Hermans Road, P.O. Box 11337, Tucson, AZ, 85734-1337 for SM-1 Full Service Support consisting of design, systems, and production engineering, technical services, evaluation services, component improvement services, Intermediate Level Maintenance, Depot Level Maintenance, test equipment support (MK 612 Mod 0/1/2) and production proofing services for missile production, All-Up-Round (AUR), Intermediate Level Maintenance Facility (ILMF) and Depot Level Maintenance Facility (DLMF) test equipment. RMSC will provide these engineering and technical services in support of STANDARD Missile (SM-1) for U.S. Allied Navies. These services include the Core Support Requirements (program management, business management, asset storage, test equipment support, quality evaluation, logistics support and tasking to demilitarize hardware no longer needed for the long-term support of the SM-1 Program), ILMF (provide re-certification of SM-1 Block VI, VIA, VIB missiles), DLMF (repair and maintenance of, or preparation, upgrade and installation of SM-1 Block V, VI, VIA and VIB sections, assemblies, subassemblies, and components), and, provide the materials and services necessary to qualify for use a MK56 Dual Thrust Rocket Motor (DTRM) Regrain production line and any future remanufacture requirements of SM-1 components. Raytheon is the only source with the prerequisite knowledge and expertise required to design, produce and support STANDARD Missile. The resultant contract will cover a base year with four one-year options. The resultant contract will also include an asset exchange consisting of credits to the U.S. Navy for U.S. SM-1 ass ets inducted into the FMS Program.
