Description

NA The work consists of all plant, labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work in strict accordance with the specifications and drawings for the maintenance dredging for an approximate 2,800-feet length of the Mattituck Harbor Federal Navigation Channel, Long Island, New York, starting from the northern channel limit. The work consists of the removal and satisfactory placement of approximately 13,000 cubic yards of channel sediment except ledge rock lying above the plane of 7 feet below mean low water, with two feet (2 ft.) vertically applied overdepth. The dredged material will be placed on the beach east of the east jetty. The solicitation will be issued on or about 6 November 2003. Plans and specifications may be examined at this office or a ny of the following offices: FW Dodge Company-1221 Avenue of the Americas, New York NY; or Browns Letters-163 Stuyvesant Avenue, Lyndhurst NJ. Fifteen (15) calendar days have been allowed for completion of work awarded under this contract. The estimated cost of this project is $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The subject solicitation is a small business set-aside. The applicable NAICS Code is 237990 with a small business size standard of $17.0 Million. The media selected for the issuance of solicitations and amendments shall be solely at the discretion of the Government; accordingly, the media utilized for this project are the Internet and CD-ROM. Paper copies of this solicitation, and amendments, if any, will not be available or issued. Interested part ies may download and print the solicitation, at no charge at http://www.nan.usace.army.mil (Contracting Opportunities). Utilization of the Internet is the preferred method. However, CDs will be available upon written request stating the Solicitation Numb er, or project name, complete company name and street address (we will not deliver to P. O. Boxes), telephone and facsimile number (including area codes). Make check or money order payable in the amount of $10.00 to the FAO, USAED-NY, and mail it to the U S Army Corps of Engineers, 26 Federal Plaza, Room 1843, New York, NY 10278-0090, Attn: Alan P. Project spec ification files and drawings are Portable Document Files (PDF) and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. Minimum system requirements are a 486-based personal computer, Microsoft Windows 3.1 or greater, and an 8 MB application RA M. A registration page is attached to the website, and prospective bidders are required to register to receive notice of any amendments and or addenda that may be issued to the solicitation. The solicitations will be available on or about 6 November 2003 . The solicitation due date is on or about 5 December 2003 at 11:00 a. m. No subcontracting plan is required as this solicitation is restricted to small businesses. Registration Requirements: DFARS 252.204-7004, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR), applies to this procurement. Prospective contractors must be registered in the Department of Defense CCR database prior to award. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award.
