Description
NA The work will consist of excavating rock for an approach channel from the lake to the existing excavated channel and constructing a new State Highway (SH) 100 bridge to span the approach channel and roadwork to connect the new bridge to the existing SH 100 road. A portion of the approach channel (referred to as the last earth plug) will be left in place to serve as a cofferdam until January 2006 when the last earth plug of the approach channel is to be excavated. The lake will be drawn down in November an d December 2005 to permit excavation of the last earth plug in January 2006. The lake will be allowed to return to the normal pool elevation of 632.0 beginning February 1, 2006. Monitored blasting of the rock for excavation is required. A detour road wi ll be constructed from/to existing SH 100 across the existing newly built spillway bridge. The tainter gates on the original spillway are to be modified to permit raising the gates an additional 30 inches. New generators and electrical work is required. Mechanical and waterline work is required. New stoplogs are to be furnished. Other items of work include care and control of water; clearing and grubbing; construction of drainage structures; traffic control; turfing; and fencing are required. The dam for Tenkiller Ferry Lake is located about 8 miles northeast of Gore, Oklahoma. Estimated cost range of this project is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000. Plans and specifications will be available on/or about November 24, 2003, and will be provided on Compact D isk (CD-ROM). THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans, specifications, and planholders lists will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
