Description

Engineering Field Activity Northwest gives notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Mandall Armor Design and Manufacturing of Phoenix, Arizona to provide high security vault doors, demonstrated to survive multiple attacks using all known breaching techniques including significant quantity high explosive attacks, and thermal, power, and hand tool attacks. Mandall Armor Design and Manufacturing has been identified as having the detailed knowledge and expertise of high security vault doors and has an established testing program required to perform the tasking under this contract and is therefore the only source capable of accomplishing this requirement without substantial duplication costs to the Government. Authority for this contracting action is provided for under FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
