- Description
- Federal Occupational Health Services (FOHS), through the Division of Acquisitions Management, Program Support Center (PSC), intends to award sole source simplified acquisition to George Washington University Medical Center (GWUMC) in Washington, DC. The purpose of this simplified acquisition is for the Ensuring Solutions to Alcohol Problems unit of GWUMC to provide services to FOHS, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) by custom tailoring the Alcohol Cost Calculator (ACC), providing a dedicated host site for (ACC), providing telephonic consultation, on-site consultation, and training to improve screening and brief interventions for alcohol related problems. A secondary purpose is to identify and evaluate intervention designs, performance measures and data sources to compile a report that may potentially be published as findings in a professional journal. This proposed requirement for which the Government intends to solicit only one source is under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Interested concerns may identify their interest and submit a capability statement in a written narrative format detailing the concern?s ability to meet the objectives of this requirement. Capability statement may be sent via fax to Janet Glasz, at (301)443-8488. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation is available; therefore, requests for such documents will be considered invalid responses. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days from the date of this synopsis, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the award to George Washington University Medical Center.
