Description
The VA Medical Center, Bath New York is seeking professional architect/engineering firms to perform investigative services, design complete project to renovate life support in Hospital, Bldg. 76. Work shall include site investigation, cost estimate and bid documents (contract drawings and specifications). Also included are construction period services and site visits. Project will renovate and enlarge existing life support (emergency room) area. The existing area is approximately 433 sf. Renovated area will be approximately 727 sf. Also to be renovated is 107 sf waiting room for administrative duty staff, 81 sf office for waiting room and 107 sf toilet room for office. Work will include demolition, lighting, ceilings, floors, walls, plumbing, automatic and manual doors and room finishes. Also included in the renovation life support area is the installation of isolated HVAC system with separate positive/negative isolation capabilities. Bedside wall modules with all required services will also be provided. The following evaluation criteria will be used during the A/E selection process: 1. Specialized experience of the firm to perform the work required. 2. Capability of the firm to perform the work within required time frame. 3. Past Performance. 4. Specific experience and qualifications of the proposed personnel assigned to the project design team. 5. Geographic location of the firms working office in relationship to the renovation site. Firms desiring consideration must have a working office located within 165 miles of Bath, New York city limits. All interested A/E firms are invited to submit 254?s and 255?s. THIS PROJECT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR EMERGING SMALL BUSINESSE?S. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. Responses must be received by December 12, 2003.
