Description

NA THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT. There is no solicitation available at this time. TACOM-ROCK ISLAND is seeking to identify POTENTIAL SOURCES who have commercial or nondevelopmental items available (with or without modifications) to meet the Governme nt??????s needs for a diesel compressor, NSN: 4310-00-542-4566; in accordance with Description for Purchase (DFP-423) Compressor, Reciprocating Diesel Driven dated 29 Oct 2002. Quantities are not known at this time, but it is anticipated that 6 each will be the initial quantities to procure. The DFP-423 for the compressors is available at https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm under DRAFT SOLICITATION/SPECIFICATIONS/STATEMENTS OF WORK. It is anticipated to be a five-year Requirements type c ontract. The following information is hereby requested: Estimated Unit Price, Delivery Schedule, Company Size and status, Manufacturer or Distributor. Please provide the customary practices regarding customizing, modifying, or tailoring of items to meet customer needs and associated costs; customary practices, including warranty, buyer financing, discounts, etc., under which commercial sales of the products are made; the requirements of any laws and regulations unique to the item being acquired; the avail ability of items that contain recovered materials and items that are energy efficient; the distribution and support capabilities, including alternative arrangements and cost estimates; and testing typically performed for the item being procured. Also, ple ase advise whether or not there any requirements contained in the Description for Purchase (DFP) that would be overly restrictive.
