- Description
- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Trinity Transition Consultants, 43 Plumb Point Loop Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland 21005, to provide diversity training for the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) , National Institutes of Health (NIH), during the period of November 2003 through December 31, 2003. The purpose is of this procurement is to effectively train and provide the skills and tools to all staff in the area of diversity management. Trinity Transition Consultants, LLC has conducted diversity training at the NIH and they understand the complexities of the NIH and its particular programs. Trinity Transition Consultants, LLC has the skills and expertise to provide quality diversity sensitivity and cultural awareness training. In order to maintain the continuity of the methodologies used by Trinity Transition Consultants, LLC, in the conduct of Diversity Training at the NIH, and due to the knowledge gained by Trinity Transition Consultants, LLC, an award to any other source for this requirement would result in a substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. The acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 611430 and Standard Size is $6.0M. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this requirement. The determination by the Government not to complete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct future competitive procurement. An award of this requirement will be made within ten (10) calendar days of the publication date.
